Custom Foot Orthotics
Bunions, Shin Splints, Plantar Fasciitis, Heel Spurs, Chronic low back pain, and many other injuries/conditions may be caused by an imbalance in the foot and ankle. Excessive pronation (flat foot,) or rigid high arches place your body at risk of developing an injury. However, other biomechanical imbalances may not be as obvious.
Treating the injury, without eliminating the cause of the injury, will be only palliative. If an imbalance exists and is not corrected, you may suffer from chronic pain and/or recurrent injury.
We provide biomechanical examinations to determine whether or not orthotics will help you. We will cast your feet for the most accurate measurements, and provide you with orthotics custom designed for your feet and biomechanical needs.
Insurance may pay for the comprehensive evaluation, but most will not pay for the orthotic insole. We would be happy to arrange a payment plan for you. Call us for more information.
Personal Training
Many people seek physical therapy only
after an injury or surgery. We recommend seeing a physical therapist
BEFORE you get hurt.
Physical Therapists are much more qualified to provide personal training services than most health-club trainers.
Physical Therapists are experts in the science of preserving,
restoring, and improving human function. Colleen Mrowka, DPT, has a
Master's degree in Exercise Physiology, a Doctorate in Physical
Therapy, post-graduate certification in Sports Medicine, and 25 years
clinical experience in preventing and rehabilitating injured athletes.
